Artificial Impressionism

With this work, I have tried to combine modern and classical elements.

At first glance, it appears to be a classical setting, a still life with a stark contrast between light and shadow. However, there is also a rainbow-colored neon thread running through it.

Additionally, I created the reference image using modern tools such as A.I. and Photoshop. I then carefully painted this image by hand. This was a very enjoyable and interesting process, because the arrival of A.I. in the creative world is causing some turmoil or commotion. Which is very understandable – I’ve had the same feelings myself!

With this painting, I aimed not to shy away from it, but to use it as a “tool” to help me.

Ultimately, I think that real art is still created by humans – in this case by carefully painting this digital image on a large scale. In this way, you embrace the modern times, in a classical manner.

Besides all this, the shiny neon was such a fun challenge to paint. 🙂
