A Fabulous Way To Start The Day

A new work in my series where I combine modern and classical elements.

We see a classic still life with peony flowers, oranges and milk. But there’s also a modern touch to be seen – a disco ball and a neon thread!

Additionally, I created the reference image using modern tools such as A.I. and Photoshop. I then carefully painted this image by hand. This was a very enjoyable and interesting process, because the arrival of A.I. in the creative world is causing some turmoil or commotion. Which is very understandable – I’ve had the same feelings myself!

With this series, I aimed not to shy away from it, but to use it as a “tool” to help me.

Ultimately, I think that real art is still created by humans – in this case by carefully painting this digital image on a large scale. In this way, you embrace the modern times, in a classical manner.
