In a new, more realistic series, I want to make the work more personal. I’m trying to achieve this by choosing the subjects carefully: snapshots from my home, my daily life. Also, I’m choosing a more realistic approach again, putting lots of effort and attention into the smallest details. Finally, I’m trying to give thm a “nostalgic” feeling with the chosen colors & the way light and shadows work.

For this second piece in the series I painted a LEGO bouquet next to a (real) plant that I see every day in my kitchen. I love the contrast between these two, and focused on capturing all the very different materials.
